In a proposed bill in the California legislature, every child born in California would get a $500 savings account to start building a nest egg for college or down payment for a home, under a bipartisan bill introduced Wednesday in the state Senate.

World Net Daily calls this "another $500 magnet for illegals". I imagine that trying to collect this “free money” when the child turns 18 will be a logistics nightmare.
