Pro-lifer challenges 'Race for Cure'

A Texas pro-life group wants people to know that the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation donates money to Planned Parenthood, the world's largest abortion provider.

According to Komen.org, the Foundation's mission is "to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures." But John Pischiotta of Pro-Life Waco says people who participate in the Komen "Race for the Cure" should know that the Foundation donates large sums of money to Planned Parenthood -- and numerous studies have found a link between breast cancer and abortion, he says.
Pischiotta is encouraging individuals to contact the Susan G. Komen Foundation to ask why it donates money to an abortion provider.
That's a really good question. Let's ask.

For the past 5 years, Colorado Right to Life has
driven a truth truck to the Denver Race for the
Cure stating, "Breast Cancer's most avoidable
risk factor: abortion."

The racers get incensed!

Last year we met with Komen and asked them why
they don't tell the women about the risk. They
mumbled something about them being all about
the cure and not prevention.

No money in prevention, we presume?

Wow. Thanks for the insight from Colorado. Don't they realize that the person who could discover the cure for cancer may have been aborted?

I'd love to hear what's going on with this in other parts of the country.
