National Presbyterian Church (USA) Debate Comes To Pittsburgh

From the story: On May 16, Pittsburgh Presbytery pled its case before the people of Memorial Park Presbyterian Church – its largest congregation and one that hovers on the brink of leaving the denomination. A unanimous session (the elected leaders of the congregation) had called a congregational meeting for the morning of June 3 to consider its recommendation that the 1,800-member church sever its ties with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and seek membership in the conservative Evangelical Presbyterian Church. With 5 other PC (USA) churches in the Pittsburgh Presbytery considering to leave the denomination, Pittsburgh is becoming the epicenter of discontent within the PC (USA) denomination. I am currently serving on the Denomination Concerns Task Force of the Beaver-Butler Presbytery, and we are also encountering similar issues.
