WAR FUNDING PASSED, OBAMA AND HILLARY VOTE “NO”

A timetable was not part of the bill. It passed 80-14. An interesting quote from Durbin, who voted in favor of the funding: "Though I loathe this decision to fund the war, I will not take out my feelings against the troops in the field. Our soldiers should never be bargaining chips in this debate." (ABC News) Code Pink was threatening to harass Obama if he didn’t vote their way. (The Hill) A minimum wage increase was attached to the bill. (Seattle Times)
