Among what are undoutedly many assaults in Al Gore’s new book (The Assault on Reason), one is his support of the Fairness Doctrine. From the column by Jay Ambrose: “He likes a Fairness Doctrine that subverts free speech -- it would be the end of Rush Limbaugh if brought back -- and wants government-financed election campaigns that could help keep some mouths shut.”
