Philadelphia To Sue State Over Gun Laws

Philadelphia wants to enact gun control laws separate from the rest of the state. This presents a problem for uniformity of existing state gun laws, such as PA-issued concealed permit holders. As demonstrated in Washington DC, where virtually all hand guns are outlawed, outlawing hand guns in Philadelphia may not have an impact on the murder rate.

I think it will have an impact on the murder rate. I think we are going to see it skyrocket within Philly while dropping in the immediate surrounding area.

Yes - the results in the U.K and Australia bear this out. Kind of like posting a “gun free zone” sign in your front yard and then expecting any would-be criminals to take a chance on your neighbor’s property.
