SUDDENLY OBAMA IS “OUTRAGED” BY WRIGHT

He defended the man who blamed the US for AIDS and 9/11 until his campaign became threatened. From the story: Campaigning in North Carolina, Obama denounced Wright's combative appearance Monday at the National Press Club as "a show of disrespect to me" and "an insult to what we've been trying to do in this campaign." The Boston Globe notes “voters and other political observers will inevitably wonder what took so long - and how Obama could have misjudged someone to whom he was very close.” (Boston Globe)

According to the NY Post, a source close to Wright said “Jeremiah doesn't care if he derails Obama's candidacy or not . . . He knows what he's doing. Obviously, he's not a dumb man. He knows he's not helping." (NY Post)
