SCIENTIST: FEAR GLOBAL COOLING

Finally someone has joined my cause! I'm recruiting celebrities to increase awarness about the postive effects of greenhouse gases. First on board is astronaut and geophysicist Phil Chapman who said the world cooled very quickly between January last year and January this year, and noted "This is the fastest temperature change in the instrumental record.” He concluded “If the temperature does not soon recover, we will have to conclude that global warming is over." Then what will Al Gore do? (FOX News)

Meanwhile, some scientists say they can alter the weather. (Denver Post)

To be fair, the .7 degree drop he cited was a one month anomaly. However, the average global temperature does seem to be trending downward a bit.

You first words say it all. "To Be Fair".

In order to do that we need to consider all the information, not just the stuff that supports a single view.

If temps are going up or down do we know for sure that man is the cause and can we really do anything significant about it? I have not seen solid answers to those questions.

While I often mock the global warming panic people, my desire is for honest facts and not a plan of reactionary hysteria.

At best we are guessing here, yet the decisions made based upon those guesses could have a negative impact on the people of the world. We need to recognise that and proceed with caution.
